Funny that this thread is from the first preseason game in 2006, the season after we went 9-7, missed the playoffs, lost out franchise QB, and gutted our coaching staff.
Yet back then we were excited and hopeful...

This board is going to have a lot of crow to eat when Michael Vick breaks out over the next two years. Be careful - Vick has proved that he can win games - more than any Viking quarterback in the past few years - and take teams deep into the playoffs. I'm on Jackson's bandwagon/Jock as much as anyone, but be careful before you predict he'll be better than a quarterback who has been to three Pro Bowls before his 26th birthday.

We didn't really know Childress or understand the KAO at that point. Back then we were still accustomed to an offense that was good at scoring points.
