Jackson preparing to lead Vikings
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=2874522
Nice article but what you want to notice is that T-JACK WON'T TAKE PART IN THE QB CHALLANGE in the Cayman Islands because his passport wasn't valid.Even when you are only the presumptive starting quarterback for an NFL franchise, Tarvaris Jackson discovered this week there are still enough perks inherent to the No. 1 job to overcome some of life's more disappointing moments.Kentucky Vikes Fan

Denied.
Yeah its good to see an article about Jackson coming from a major sports media outlet.
They sure are pushing the idea of him starting.
All the kids my age pee their pants, it's the coolest.

Re: Jackson preparing to lead Vikings
I love the fact that he's been in Minnesota pretty much the entire offseason.
That means the kid is really trying to become the #1 guy.
I am praying that T-Jack can become an elite QB in this league, not only for the Vikes but it seems like the kid is a very good person in genuine.
If he starts (which I beleive he will) us fans will need to give him the first 4-6 games to really start feeling comfortable.
I'm extremely excited to watch the vikes and T-jack take the field.
It will be an interesting year thats for sure.

Re: Jackson preparing to lead Vikings
It's encouraging to see an offseason Vikings article that does not contain the following words:
arrested
charged
2AM
prosecutor
jail
bail
Jackson really seems dedicated, I hope he wins the starting job and becomes wildly successful as the Vikes QB

A snorkel-free weekend

So much for Stingray City.
A Vikings official confirmed that QB Tarvaris Jackson will not participate in this weekend’s NFL quarterback challenge because of a passport issue. The event will take place in the Cayman Islands.
The good news: Jackson will be on the field Tuesday at Winter Park when the Vikings begin Organized Training Activities. We’ll be bringing you all the coverage that’s fit to blog.

Nooooooooooooo!
Ha
Im so bummed he wont be able to show off his skills this weekend. I really wanted to see how he could do in a competition like that.
But atleast we did get an article about him on ESPN by none other than Pasquarelli.

Did we start he "T-Jack" thing? b/c it mentions it in the article and I think I may have been one of the founding fathers of that nickname... that'd be so cool.

Caymen Islands?
OH Sh*t. Make sure all the boats are rented out this weekend or it might get ugly. Maybe capitan smoot will join them.

Re: Jackson preparing to lead Vikings
Man, that is a good sign...Beyond the couple of weeks he spent at home in Montgomery following the end of his rookie campaign, Jackson has been in the Twin Cities virtually the entire offseason, putting in time at the Vikings' complex, working on his on-field skills and on the important relationships that a quarterback must forge to be acknowledged as a leader.
