I hope his mind is changed about him being our number 2 after that interception he just threw.
I severely doubt McMahon will be the #2 on the roster.
Hell, I'd take JT O'Sullivan over McMahon right now
PM me if you'd like a sig.

jackson is for sure our new #2..he completes his short, accurate passes and plays within the team's offense..mcmahon throws up deep balls that dont come even close..mcmahon simply cant play in this offense, and jackson was built for it

T-Jack! I was skeptical in April; now, I am quite pleased. I daresay, I think he may turn out to be the best QB drafted in 2006, as the road opens. I never liked Young, and thought Leinert might be too....well, ...concerned for himself. Cutler may still be a stud, but right now, I'm pleased with the prospect.

I agree with everyone.. Tarvaris is clearly our 2nd best qb.
As mentioned above, I like that he plays within the offense.
He looks exactly like Brad out there!
Although, I'd like to see Tarvaris attempt throwing a deep ball.
I've seen both pre-season games and I'm not sure I've seen him try one yet.

9/11 for 80 yards and one TD.
The TD was brought in by Jones, who made a great diving effort to get the ball inside the pylon.
I think his most impressive moments were when the Steelers brought the blitz and TJ handled it pretty well.
On one play he dumped the ball off to I think Wiggins for a bit of a gain, and then managed to get rid of it as he was going down in the pocket and near enough to a receiver to avoid the intentional grounding call.

Granted, he is playing second string, but the kid is definitely not looking nearly as much of a "project" as was thought.
Just to update it was Jason Carter who caught the touchdown from Jackson not Chris Jones.

I agree, but what have McMahon, and O'Sucksalot could have done against the Steeler's 2nd string defense? Absolutely nothing.. T-Jack is going to be hands down our 2nd QB, and it is just a matter of time before he takes the reins for good.

Tarvaris is the bright spot of the preseason without a doubt.

Tarvaris progress is amazing, I wonder if we should be watching cuts and the waiver wire for #3.

    Re: Jackson #2

Once again, he looked very good tonight, especially for a rookie. He made one mistake on a screen play...I think he was a little surprised at how quickly Porter and the rest of the Steelers got to him which caused the drive to stall, but he was definately solid tonight.

I love his release, it's so fast! He just flicks his wrist and the ball is already half way there. He really throws a pretty ball. I'm really impressed with him this pre-season.

McMahon is just bad. I really misjudged him when he was signed...I thought he'd be a good backup. He threw a terrible INT tonight and he rarely stays in the pocket for more than a second.
