Vikes don't need to weaken their D.
I hope E.J. and M Williams will be back soon.

This might be a bump in the road for his pro-bowl campaign, but we need EJ healthy down the road. If he has to sit this weekend that hurts our Tampa-2 style D where the middle backer gets deep into the center field to cover. With the injuries the Saints have we will be playing our nickel packages more, resting EJ against the Saints 3, 4, and 5 reciever sets.
Heal up EJ.

EJ Likely out Monday Night
Vikings' Henderson likely out vs. Saints
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/nfl/10/02/henderson.vikings.ap/index.html
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings will probably be without standout middle linebacker E.J. Henderson this week.
The swelling in Henderson's two dislocated toes has not subsided since he suffered the injury to his left foot in Sunday's game against Tennessee. He is wearing a walking boot to immobilize his foot and was not at practice Thursday. Vikings medical staff can't properly assess his condition until the swelling goes down.
Man Our LB corp is thin

Can Leber or Greenway play inside? Hopefully one Henderson will replace the other.

PA was talking about bringing Leber to the inside today instead of starting Herron. Who seems to be the number #2 on the depth chart..Can Leber or Greenway play inside? Hopefully one Henderson will replace the other.
They also talked about bringing in Dontarrious Thomas for another stint.

This is not a good thing. We need Edwards, Henderson and Williams out there. It is a shame that every week we are being denied the chance to see how good this defense can actually be.

Re: Injury Updates 10-1-08
I could live without Maduie Williams because Johnson is such a stud but missing Ray Edwards would be killer as is EJ. I'm not in the locker room or on the pratice field but going off of what I've seen on the field I would move Leber to the inside and start Erin Henderson in his spot on the outside. So our lineup would look like E.Henderson, B, Leber, and C. Greenway thats about as comfortable as it gets for me.
Chances are we will see David Herron, he's been OK on specail teams and of course he made the team, but by no means has he been the playmaker that Erin Henderson has been. Going off of the personal decision that we're used to I expect to see Erin on the bench. He's a very good football palyer, IMO Herron cannott and will not match his ability.
Ray Edwards said he was ready to go last week but the staff held him out. I sure hope he can go, we cannott afford going down to New Orleans and loose because we couldn't get pressure on Drew Brees. Ray Edwards presence is huge.
