Defensive end Ray Edwards has not practiced this week because of a knee injury, and nose tackle Pat Williams was limited for a second consecutive day Thursday as he tries to return from a broken right shoulder blade......

Vikings' Pat Williams a game-time decision

VIKINGS BITS BY VAUGHN McCLURE

Minnesota's Williams sidesteps question on whether injury will keep him out vs. Eagles

January 3, 2009

MINNEAPOLIS — With Pat Williams, the Vikings are as dominant as any NFL team against the run. Without the Pro Bowl nose tackle, they might have trouble slowing any sort of Eagles rushing attack....

The loss of Edwards is gonna be huge.
Man I hope Keneche comes back healthy next year.
We need a LDE that can hold that edge in our base 4-3.
Maybe Otis has been packing on a few pounds.....

69 Jared Allen DE 26 6-6 270 5 Idaho State
91 Ray Edwards DE 24 6-5 268 3 Purdue
73 Otis Grigsby DE 28 6-3 260 2 Kentucky
92 Jayme Mitchell DE 24 6-6 285 3 Mississippi
96 Brian Robison DE 25 6-3 259 2 Texas
71 Kenderick Allen DT 30 6-5 328 5 Louisiana State
90 Fred Evans DT 25 6-4 305 3 Texas State

98 Letroy Guion DT 21 6-4 303 R Florida State
71 Jimmy Kennedy DT 29 6-4 320 5 Penn State
93 Kevin Williams DT 28 6-5 311 6 Oklahoma State
97 Ellis Wyms DT 29 6-3 290 8 Mississippi State
94 Pat Williams DL 36 6-3 317 12 Texas A&M
I this if Pat can play the loss of Ray will be much less of an effect.
I think Leslie will cycle enough fresh guys in there that it should be the biggest issue...The eagles arent that scary of a run team, if we can have someone to atleast hold ground on that side our line backers will come clean it up.
I think Robison will come in a do a good job, I think he is still pretty under rated at what types of things he can do for our defense.
he is another fast guy that can only help chase down Dnab

Thoughts?
