Is there any doubt that we need to add depth at receiver now that our rookie WR is out and we are left with scraps.
What is the deal w/ Williamson?
Is he still having "headaches" or was he just demoted?
He was told to take some advil and cope...

He was a healthy scratch for Monday's game and not real happy about it...
I'd like to see what he can do, given a good opportunity, these last 2 games... let him earn
his 08 roster spot... He, like most of our receivers, has not been given many opportunities to impress this year.
He's made some good catches, dropped only a couple passes, but really hasn't been given enough looks to adequately assess his potential with the team.
I'd think that his potential is most effectively evaluated on the practice field. In any event, you're right, Williamson needs to show up or he'll definitely deserve the "bust" label so many are ready to give him.

    Nice read my friend.
    Two comments/observations......

    First.
If Winfield isn't at least 80-95% (no one is 100% at this time of the season) I don't want him out there.
Gordon and McCauley have proven that although they are still pretty inexperienced and are prone to a mistake or two, they play well enough for us to win with them in there.

    Second.
I look to see us solve this problem much the same way we did with Witten.
Cooley will be Chads primary responsibility with a CB helping.
Lets hope that plan works again.

Cooley, who has 26 touchdowns in four seasons, has averaged 80 receiving yards the past five games
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Re: Injuries to Winfield, Rice could be serious - Winfield wants to play Sunday

Winfield is at his best on first and second downs and in run support. Maybe we could play him the same way we use Pat Williams?

CB Antoine Winfield, WR Sidney Rice and LB Dontarrious Thomas are all questionable for the Vikings’ game Sunday night against Washington, according to the team’s injury report.....
