MINNEAPOLIS (AP)  Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield left Monday night's game against Chicago at halftime with a shoulder injury...
Re: Injuries to Winfield, Rice could be serious
I hope neither Rice or Winfield are seriously hurt. We need these guys to do more than just show up in the playoffs. Double dangit. If they miss any significant time lets hope T-Will, and McCaully step up. No more injuries.
>:(

"It's so frustrating," Winfield said of his injuries. "I never get hurt. It's just my luck right now."
or because he's getting older :(
i hope Rice's foot isn't fractured.. but if its even a slightly significant injury.. rest him, we need him next year more than this.
Re: Injuries to Winfield, Rice could be serious
this could be huge for us.
I honestly think Winfield is the difference maker on defense for us.
in the first half i don't think the bears even had 70 offensive yards.
one play that stands out was a nice stop on an Adrian Peterson sweep where he got by Hester no problem to make a tackle in the backfield.
He also had his reciever shut down all half as well.
If his shoulder is even semi-serious he should sit for the season and save it for the playoffs.

Yeah he's solid against the run, and he's a great tackling CB. Sid the Kid was just starting to get in his zone too. This sucks, I hope these guys are OK. We need them for the playoffs!!!
Re: Injuries to Winfield, Rice could be serious
I for one am not that concerned over either player.
McCauley, Gordon, Griff have all filled in admirably for Winny when he is out.
An issue but one that we've seen can be overcome.
Rice.
Allison needs to step up and Fergy did a good job as a deep threat last night.
An issue but one that we've seen can be overcome.
Erasmus has been almost a non factor all year.
Edwards, Robison, Keneche, Mitchell have played well.
Now throw in Otis (he had two nice rushes that I saw) into the mix to take up James slack and when we get Edwards back.........
AD went down, CT stepped up.
TJ went down, well, can't say anything here, ya got me.
Our backups suck.
;D
Anyway, I hope you all get were I am going.
Injuries or suspensions happen my friends, other players need to step up.
Its the nature of the beast.
This team has shown that they can and will step up to the best of thier abilities.
Lets just hope it will be enough.
;D
Re: Injuries to Winfield, Rice could be serious
The problem is that this is the time when teams need to get healthy and have their players on the field. Depth becomes crucial this time of the year and ours is getting shallower every week which does not favor us for any success in the postseason.

Yeah I saw those too. He got sum good pressure for us last night.
Re: Injuries to Winfield, Rice could be serious
You know I have to say I was extremely pissed about seeing the ball only thrown to Rice twice that i remember then on top of that he gets hurt on a run play not even going his way. As far as Winfield, he was flying around the the field and was the difference last night, making play after play. He needs to be in there if we have any chance at all in the play offs.
