I hear what you are saying and for the most part I agree. But then you have a select few such as Brady that can be considered one of the all time greats in his first 5 years.i_bleed_purple wrote:
Ahhhh, the maturation of a QB discussion. You guys are missing the point. Yes, he's good. Even great maybe.
He is NOT one of the ALL-TIME elite, like this guy is trying to claim.
At what point will any QB be considered one of the "ALL-TIME" greats.
For me, at the end of his career, but never at the one year, two year, three year, hell even 8 year point of his tenure in the game.
Course, I am one of a select few on here who believe that players still have something to learn each and every year, regardless of how long they've been in the league.
Probably be taken the wrong way, but we watched one of the "Elite" QB's make a mistake last year. My guess, he learned something from that mistake.

Totally. They have Vilma at MLB and that's pretty much where it stops with real starting material. Fujita was overachieving in NO the last few years, it seemed, but he's gone.I give the Saints the edge for playmakers, but we've got the non-glory players that make us better.
Their secondary is FAR better than ours,
CB: Porter, Robinson, Gay, Greer
S: Harper and SHarper.
Our LB's are better, and our DL is better, but they have some serious talent on their DL too.
On offense, Shockey is good, as much as I dislike the guy
their WR's are probably the deepest int he league, OL has mad depth, RB is ok, Evans is a pretty good FB. They really have no weaknesses aside from maybe LB.
They have talent on their D-line, but I do feel like a lot of them are underachieving. Ellis has all the tools to be the real deal, but his production just isn't that great. Ayodele was a pleasent surprise this year, but not great, by any means. Smith was sick this year. I don't know what Alex Brown is going to add in terms of production, but we'll see.
What's really amazing is what Greg Williams gets out of these guys in terms of pressure. He creates a lot of the pressure with his schemes, even with the lesser talent he has at LB and their good, but not great D-line."You can look pretty smart if you have a knack for planning ahead. That's Ted. The Packers are in good hands." - Ron Wolf

So can we consider the missing article to be an official retraction?
