Re: If and when should PEP ride the pine?

Yeah Steve Loney is saying that so hew can save his behind. Loney is a piece of crap coordinator and he's trying to avoid the blame from his o line, but if YOU WATCHED THE GAME, you could see how our lineman were GETTING BUTCHERED OUT THERE. He can say whatever he wants, but reality doesn't lie. Our o line iS HORRIBLE PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!! You don't get driven back and your but whooped and grade them the highest of the year!!! Loney is just a lame joke of a coach who will soon be releived of his coordinator duties!!

People can say whatever they want to, but you HAVE TO REALIZE THAT HE IS SAYING THAT SO HE CAN SAVE HIS BACK!!!

Re: If and when should PEP ride the pine?

i have watched the games. there has been plenty of times that Pep has stood in the pocket and hasn't done jack diddly with it. i know our o-line isn't that good but name me one line that could last for 8 seconds and still give great protection, Pep has held on to the ball several times too long. i know he has an injury therefor he doesn't run out like he used but then he can't expect the pocket to stay perfect forever.

    Thanks Josdin

Pep has about 4 seconds buddy, not 8.

Re: If and when should PEP ride the pine?

alright i was overexaggerating when i said 8.
if you were to ask most fans there have been several times that he has held on the ball for much longer than 4 seconds and is just looking clueless. also take a look at most of the other teams and tell me how long does it take them to throw the ball espically on the shorter routes that we have been trying to run. i know you're a huge fan of Pep and everything but don't try and put the entire blame on the coaching staff and the offensive line. not once has Pep proved to me that he can read a good defense, i know he needs time to do that but there have been several wide receiver crossing the field that he has just MISSED completely, it's like he's always looking for one player to get open on every play. Pep has not once proven to me that he can bring our team back when we're down, he gets down on himself way too quickly. i'm a supporter of Pep but he has stunk it up lately this season and it has a lot more to do with other than our leaky o-line and our coaching staff.

    Thanks Josdin

Do you think that he is playing at the level that he was last year? Oline or not, he is not in my opinion.
If he is not playing up to his potential, falling way short, do you massage his ego the whole season?
What if this directly affects the way the whole team plays?
How many games do you blow just to make you and PEP happy?

I am not looking at Pep as a Pro Bowl QB, but still a good QB.

I do not think we benefit by benching the guy were slotted as our leader. If we do it sends the wrong message to the team that we give-up too easily on our leadership.

We are still in the hunt for the Division regardless of how Pep is playing. Give it more time, he'll snap out of that nasty funk he's in.
