Re: If and when should PEP ride the pine?

I don't know next time Culpepper has a mental lapse lets find out.

People thought Moss would never be traded.
People thought Red would NEVER sell the team.
People thought we would be good this year.
People predicted a top 10/5 defense.
    People predicted pro-bowls.

We just don't know. If he begins throwing the game away I cannot possibly see the logic in NOT trying Johnson. So you put him in and he doesn't do any better you haven't hurt anything. Maybe some feelings but who cares.

Where are the Chavous haters? 21 Tackles in 4 games? Yeah letting him go would have been a great idea..........- DEL RIO

We have seen by the Atlanta game that Corey Chavous isn't quick enough to cover Brian Finneran and let Warrick Dunn get passed him numerous times. Remember when Dunn fumbled the ball, picked it back up and got the first down while juking out Corey "Toast" Chavous?

I cant wait till next year when we finally let this overrated talentless player go and get A REAL STRONG SAFETY, Willie Offord in there. He has definitely shown he is much better than Chavous in coverage and HE CAN HIT.

I don't know if BJ has any game left in him. That being said, yes, Pep is really the only QB on the roster that gives the Vikes a chance to win.

But at this pace.........Pep will throw 40 picks by the end of the season. He is already gunshy.....how many times in the first half of the Falcon's game did he throw at a WR? I dont think a Viking WR caught a pass until the second half when ATL's D was playing very soft already up 24 points.

Pep's gotta keep on slinging that pigskin all over the field and not worry about the interceptions. I know his knee is hurting him, but I think he will step up once we hit Soldier Field in a couple weeks.

Thanks for everyone for voicing your opinions.
This was/is a pretty good thread.
Our team is stinking up the joint and there are many reasons why. It's good to hear rebuttals from my own opinion and all of the pros and cons.

Does anyone think we should bench K-will?? In my opinion he was the best DT last year.. Couldn't even stop him by double teaming him.. This year he hasn't done SHITTTTT! So bench him too since he isn't playing up to par?

thank you hit stick...the second daunte does good the same people on here are all over him...but lord forbid the guy gets sacked 9 TIMES!! and has about negative 3 seconds to get rid of the ball....dump daunte? you need to take a long walk off a short dock
Steve Loney said the offensive line was only responsible for 3 of the 9 sacks! That means Culchoker was responsible for 6 SACKS! I think Culcrapper is the one who should be taking the walk!

I agree, Chavous is way overrated.

Ummm, last time I checked we had a back up QB standing there on the sidelines not just to look pretty, but to actually relieve a starting QB when he plays like crap. No matter how much you blame the o-line, the fact remains that Pep threw 10 ints, held on to the ball forever and lost fumbles when barely touched. HE IS PLAYING POORLY RIGHT NOW. What to we lose if we put Brad in? Pep gets time to heal and work on his timing/accuracy/reading defenses/whatever. We take a look at what Brad can do in there. If Brad gets sacked nine times too, then we can be sure that its entirely O-line's fault. However, that is HIGHELY unlikely, because a) Brad gets rid of the ball quickly and b) at least half of the sacks on sunday were caused by Pep standing there like a statue.
Over half were caused by Culcrapper. Steve Loney said only 3 of the 9 sacks were caused by the O Line. That means Culpooper was responsible for 6 SACKS. And to think he said he was going to be a better QB without Moss!!! What an OVERRATED OVERPAID DUNCE!!! And this is the Leader of our team?? I think I'm going to go throw up now.

You can get off your knees anytime you like and ask Randy if you can wipe that crap off your face, I am sure your mouth is sore anyways.
