whats strange is in the history on the MN Vikings, we have had only 6 head coaches (I think it is 6). We usually seem to be pretty loyal to our coaches and the only one I remember us really dumping on was Les. He had a worse record then Tice and I think he made it 5 years as head coach.

Denny would still be coach if he didnt start saying that he wanted to buy the vikings and move them to LA. I just hope that we find a coach and stick to him for a while, I dont like having a revolving door at coach.
Denny said that? I would like one of those assistants to come back as well. I don't really care who the coach is as long as we win. Wow 6 coaches is not very many.

Re: If Tice can't get the job done, who should be the next coach

i thought when jim fassel was available we should have pounced and signed him up does anybody still remember that 2000 nfc title game or were those memories drinken away? well it went like this giants 41 vikes squadoosh the giants have always seemed to have our number so maybe he could have come in and figured out what was wrong having come from an outside. although i liked the idea of promoting linehan the vikes need to get some fresh blood;a new perspective. and its not so much just tice either it's the fact that in the tice era we have had no continuity of coaching staff different coordinators every year or every other year different sp teams coaches not too mention all the different assistants. and maybe that was red being stingy or maybe (to the best of my knowledge, corect me if im wrong) the vikings dont have 1 guy who is the general manager, even this year linehan leaves so instead of going out and getting a qualified OC we promote loney who yes knows the offense but after having just lost moss we needed to get a bona fide OC who could scheme a complete game and just for starters maybe not have wiggins attempt to block simeon rice. bottom line is if tice cant lead this team to at least the nfc title game he gets the ax and we can finally maybe start to get some continuity in here

I would like the Broncs to realese Shannahan, and us pick him up. He might be the only coach who could take our running game, and make it great...

Mike Tice will win it...The Big One...The Lombardi. With the "Moss Loss", Daunte's the Boss! In 2005-06 finally, a revamped D and the rest of the roster looks better as well. Wish Hovan was in MN to enjoy it.

How about Kirk Ferentz, I now he just got blown out but nobody gets more out of his players than him. But if you could get Jeff Fisher get him and lock him up ,a great coach. Im a SC Gamecock fan(Troy Williamson went there)I know somebody said Steve Spurrier earlier but Ill say this if any of you sniff around him I will personaly come to each of your houses and go Neil Diamond on you("I will smack in the mouth Im Neil Diamond!")LOL!!!!!
The State of Minnesota will get to know me very well-Troy Williamson
