Thread: Ian Gold, Dhani Jones, and/ or Marcellus Wiley

I will call it a successful FA signing year if the Vikings can sign any or all 3! Please?

If we get either LB we don't need the other one, if we got Marcellus Wiley and one of the other two that would be fine. Claiborne is a pretty solid LB.

They shouldn't bother with Jones or Gold, draft D.J. Williams or Karlos Dansby instead. Wiley might be a good pickup, but the way things are going it seems to me like they will be running a 3-4 defense. If the line was Hovan, Martin, and Williams it would make signing Wiley pretty useless.

i think they should stay away from dhane jones i was on the giants post and alot of giant fans wern't to thrilled with his pass coverage they said he was great against run but looked clueless in pass coverage, i'm leanig toward drafting a LB, i would like to see dj williams in purple but don't know if he will last that long, but u never know who thought EJ would be a second round pick

Ian Gold is closest to signing out of all of these. wiley is not visinting nor is Dhani Jones. I think cottrell would want a fast lb such as gold to work his d. My best bet is we sign gold out of any of these guys if we continue signing free agents.

There was some talk about signing Gold on Viking Update, but he is looking for a HUGE payday and the Vikes say they are not interested in someone coming off a torn ACL who wants big bucks.
