man i didn't see the missed kicks but i saw he was 0-3 and i believe they lost by 3 so that must have sucked for him

He should get over it. Kaeding has all pre-season to work on his confidence.

I have to admit though, he makes our kicking situation look great.

If Elling missed a kick in the playoffs like Kaeding did last year, his career would be over. We'll see what happens to Nate.

Yeah, Kaeding was pretty ugly last night. Even though our situation isn't ideal, it's much better than it has been in recent years. I would have still liked to get Nugent though, but the past is past and the future is now as Christopher Walken says!

all the fieldgoals he missed beginning from last year were in the rain(the playoff game vs. the jets, and yesterdays game. the chargers wont release Nate like we did Elling. because Nate has so much upside.

I always have a lot of sympathy for kickers who have lost their confidence...maybe its because I've lost my iron swing in golf so often.

The look on his face said it all. I felt bad for him. I wouldn't have if it had been a real game, but we've all seen what has happened to Scott Norwood and Brett Conway. It's too bad.
