I agree with you on both counts here. I would like Porter more than Lelie by far and definitely would like to go get Donnie Edwards at this point.I would rather get Porter from the Raidahs than Lelie...and I would really prefer to get Donnie Edwards from the Chargers before EITHER of them!

It'd be nice if Ziggy doesn't pull a McCombs and not move on this. He's not getting a stadium out of another 8-8 season, right?

I wouldn't doubt it this is what i found on vikings update
Check it out
Robinson’s arrest could force the Vikings' hand in trying to find a replacement. A pair of the league’s better receivers – Jerry Porter of the Raiders and Ashley Lelie of the Broncos – are both disgruntled with their current teams and their current contracts and the Vikings might be interested in making a deal for either of them to fill the void if Robinson is not invited back to the team following his release from jail. Porter was in Minneapolis Monday night with the Raiders, but did not see any action while in Art Shell’s doghouse for making comments deemed derogatory to the team, while Lelie was pushed to the No. 3 receiver role in Denver after the Broncos made a draft-day trade to acquire Javon Walker.
I honestly don't see either happening. Lelie was good for, what, a year(same as Javon Walker)? Jerry Porter is O.K. , but do we want to pay the asking price? Would you have T.O. come to the team for the same price? He's a far better receiver than either, (that rhymed
), but the price for the team isn't worth it. Everyone wants to be the starter, but neither one( Porter or Lelie), is willing to do what it takes to MAKE them the starter. I'll take what we have and see how it goes from, especially if we don't have Jackson any more.( I know it's pre-season, but I could have caught that and it's what he's PAID to do)!!!
Robinson is expected to be formally charged later this morning.
WELL, I LL ASK HIM, BUT I DON T THINK HE WILL BE VERY KEEN. UH, HE S ALREADY GOT ONE, YOU SEE.

He probably has played his last game not only for the Vikings but also in the entire league...If you read what childress had to say about krob getting arrested then u should have (like me) gotten the impression that krob has played his last game in minnesota. The media brought up the possibility of a trade and childress didnt rule it out.I am still a nig suppoerter of krob and liked what he did last year but if a trade does come up what do u think of this scenario.Krob+3 or 4th round pick for ashlei lelie...think about it
I don't see this 'new organization' as a classy one.
They fired tice HOURS after he won his final game, got (may have even started) a feued with the team's star, and now resigns a trouble maker who had one good year, among many other questionable moves
Don't start with all this "He was always a trouble maker" crap.
There is not one of us who expected him to get into trouble like this again, especially this early in the season.
You, me, the Vikings front office, and everyone else were convinced that KoRo was solidly on the wagon.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

No one will trade for him and with the clauses in his contract, it would save us money."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
