I see your point, but i really think that mewelde is a great back and can be the answer for us, which would also be sweet because imagine the money that we could then use on improving and strengthening other parts of our team. (O-line and LB's for example)
    ;-)

I think it is too early to declare Moore a bust, or a starter. He has proven at times he should be the starter. I question his duriblity, as he was held out of game for minor injuries. I think Tice did hold him out of game because of his 'body language', in games he could have played. Moore does has great vision, is a good reciever, fights for the tough yards, and is a decent blocker. I think we should let bennett go, keep moore, and maybe draft a runner or pick up a younger runner (like a chestor taylor) to compeate for the starter/ split time with moore
I like Moore and think he is quite capable if he could show some durability, but calling him a decent blocker is WAY off. He is a TERRIBLE blocker and he cannot pick up a blitz to save his or the QBs life, that is definitely one reason he was not getting PT early in the year. When the opponents were blitzing the crap out of C-Pep, Bennet did a fairly decent job of picking them up, but Moore would not only get blown up, half the time he does not get a hand on anyone.
This is definitely an area he needs to improve on if he wants to be an every down back in the NFL.

Well having the money to spen elsewhere (like to O line) would definatly be better than tossing it at a RB, but can he survive as a starter? Well maybe we'll find out eh? He has showen some great stuff at times. Really though if I had to choose a starter out of Mike, mewelde or onterio (he is coming back next year isn't he?) I think it would be a toss up with mewelde at the bottom of the stack and onterio at the top. (even though he's an idiot.)

I didn't want to make a new Mewelde thread, so I'll just bold the hell out of this post to make everyone read it.

With Childress as our new coach, how do you think Mewelde will be used, if at all? I was thinking about the similarities between MeMo and Brian Westbrook and they seem relatively similar in style of play. I think Westbrook is a little better reciever, but I think they're relatively similar. Think Childress might use MeMo as his Westbrook?

Our offense will not mirror the Eagles .... there are so many versions of the "west coast" offense it's crazy. Again, we will not know till he starts making some moves in F/A and the draft on what he will do.
