There are many comments in this thread that are borderline rude and some that are just outright rude.
Even if you think it is a stupid question, please refrain from calling the poster an idiot.

The question could actually be debated!
no, it cant be debated..its the worst thread created in recent memory..we couldve hired anyone as our head coach, and we couldve gotten a number of other qb's or wr's in some form of signing/trade/draft pick..suggesting we trade the best runningback in the nfl because we dont have a very good qb/coach is absurd..its absolutely ridiculous, and anything said about the original post is well deserved
    like who?
cutler (yes, we had the picks to make an even better offer than denver made), edwards, pennington, favre (had we made an offer that couldnt be refused), possibly bulger right now..i think thats enough to put the ridiculousness of this thread to rest

besides, who are we going to trade peterson for? since hes the best RB in the nfl, you would have to get one of the best qb's in the nfl (which just isnt going to happen)..then even after you do that, you still have brad childress coaching your team, so then where do you go?..please elaborate on who we would trade peterson for, and how exactly that would solve all of this teams problems short and long term
I never said it was the best thread or the worst, only that there have to be reasons for posting, or at least that is what I was trying to imply.

If you think that AD is going to be injury prone, you might trade him right now.
If you are willing to work with him on that and take that chance.
All players have the chance to be injured so I say we keep him and deal with it when/if it happens.

I say no to the trade.
any player in the nfl can get injured, including whatever you would get in return for peterson..still no point to this thread
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

    I agree completely with Snow.
We're ALL fellow Vikings fans, we should never berate one another for their opinions/thoughts/suggestions.
If you don't like the idea someone poses, a simple "I disagree and here is why" should be fine.

I would be over a million times against trading A.D. for anything, since I'm one of those who STILL regrets the Randy Moss trade.
But the idea of a trade is not so blasphemous that it should result in an attack.
What about the Hershel Walker trade?
I know Hershel wasn't as good as A.D., but that was the trading of a Superstar that had amazing results.
I am by no means suggesting a trade, in fact I would help lead the assault on Vikings HQ if we traded the
face of the franchise, but there is at least precedence to ask the question of whether or not it would be a viable option.

A more absurd suggestion may have never been made.
    Hell no.

Kid has heart and wants to win. Is this really the type of player you would want to trade off of your team? :

I know its heresy to say it but does anyone think that we should.... Trade childress for Zorn
    I would consider it.

Look at the way the season is going.

Childress is in the 3rd year of converting from a Gibbs style offense to a WCO and has the ability to go to their biggest rival and come out with an emotionless loss.

Zorn is in the first year of converting from a Gibbs style offense to a WCO and can go right into the home field of their biggest rival and come out with an emotional win.

Maybe Childress should stop calling Andy Reid and start calling Zorn for pointers on how to install a new scheme, which at this point is actually getting pretty old.

People who have to put the words "please don't flame me" in their post always deserved to be flamed.
C'mon ... are you mentally handicapped or something? I mean if you are, then the Packers are always looking for more fans.

we already made a disgraceful trade where we dealt away the best player in the league, and we got absolutely nothing in return
I believe the names you're looking for are Napolean Harris and Troy Williamson, or yeah like you said "absolutely nothing" ROFL.

I think the trade is debatable, haven't you ever heard the phrase "If you love something set it free" lol? We could do AP a favor and trade him, but yeah that isn't going to help us much. I'm selfish so I say we keep him and make him suffer like the rest of us haha. He is injury proned though, and not just sprains and bruises, he usually suffers season ending injuries. This post/topic will be revisited if he ever goes down with a serious knee injury or something. Or maybe the Vikings continue to suck and AP leaves on his own through FA and then we get nothing in return.

Thanks for pushing the thread to the limit of insults.

I agree the guy could have chosen a different way to start this thread rather than a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The title and the orig post were dead giveaways that this post was going to end badly.

Better to shorten your title and put forth a reasonable scenario, maybe propose a possible trade with specific players and teams in mind so the hoopleheads can understand.
    Simplify!
