I really don't think any of these Culpepper worshiperw can actually see past the enormously leader, thinker and decision maker that Daunte Culpepper is. Before that drive when Daunte got hurt what did he do? Nothing, held the ball to long, made poor passes and actually didn't do a dang thing. That is his season in a nutshell.
But the reason why this team is going no were this year is because of the worst coach staff in all the NFL.
Come on, does Tice and Cotrell actually think they made some good decisions with Smoot's coverage of Steve Smith.
Red McCombs is rolling around naked in the 400 million dollars that he made of the sale of the vikings.

Okay now here is the new definition of delusional!! Buddy he brought the Vikes back from a 17 point deficit at the half tp beat the Pack last weekend. And as far as yesterday goes, it was the first drive of the game, what fricken game were you watching?

You have 2 posts here and now you sre some bloody expert, I think not pal. For anyone that says DC was having a bad day yesterday, I would question there ability to tie their own shoes, cause it was the 1ST drive of the game and if remember correctly he was 3-4 for like 40 some yards and 18 yards rushing, so use the facts jacka$$!

Sorry people I am tired of these fairwheater fans that jump over our star for stuff that didn't even happen.

Also I get emails from some people that are part of PPO and for some of these people I am dumfounded. One of these simpltons says "I told you so, Brad Johnson played awesome yesterday, it is about time Daunte was replaced", I mean hell, what is with some of these fans? I am not hating on Brad Johnson at all, but I am VERY sick of some these fans, I mean C-Pep goes down and people verbalize that it is for the good of the team.

I have never thought about jumping ship on my Vikes, however reading some of the things posted on here regarding the current situation we are in makes me want to grab some of these guys and ring their bloody necks.

I am sorry again for getting hot here, I just cannot believe some people that frequent this site can sleep at night knowing that they have no integrity as people!

    Cheers!
Dont let a bunch of idiots get you down my Canadaian friend. I just had to deal with one of my co-workers saying ... "best thing that could happen to the Vikings" about Culpepper and that he does nothing but turn the ball over, blah blah blah ...
Keep our heads up and wear the purple proud this season ... it will pay off in the future ... lets hope that C-Pep gets his head clear and knee in good shape and comes back better than ever.

I hope I'm wrong on this, but as bad as all the other aspects of our team have been performing, I doubt that Brad will get us any more than 2 more wins this season. Chicago, and Detroit here at the dome. Thats not to say he isn't capable to do more, but I don't think the rest of the team is playing well enough to expect any more than that. He is a leader, and knows how to win, as evidenced by his SB ring, but I don't think his strengths are great enough to carry this team any distance. I'm actually praying that our offensive line doesn't get Brad killed before the season is over.
I have been thinking the same thing. Brad is no spring chicken, he will be hitting the Motrin on a daily basis.

I don't think this is what Brad signed up for. Doubt he will make the rest of the season with all his limbs in tact.

Didn't Tice used to play QB in college, maybe he should suit up and take a few shots, get a first hand view of how his line is doing.
    That would be HILARIOUS!!!

Re: I fidn it kin of funny how.....

I have been very critical of Culpepper this season...and will continue to be. The fact that he was injured does not mitigate what he failed to accomplish in 4 games out of 6 this season. His injury doesn't somehow wash away the rash of INTs he threw this season. It doesn't excuse his inability to move the offense and SCORE.

Sure, he lit up New Orleans...and sure, he came back on Green Bay...but that isn't a testament to his greatness, both of those teams are playing sub-standard ball right now and we SHOULD have beaten them.

But what about Atlanta? Tampa? Chicago? Cinci? In all four games, Culpepper looked lost, dazed, and confused. None of those teams are so powerful that they should baffle and bewilder him just by being on the field...but they all did. He was able to generate only 27 offensive points through those four games. Only 14 of which were due to touchdowns.

Sure, it sucks that Culpepper is hurt for the year...I'm not jumping for joy, especially since I don't think Johnson is the answer. But before you start declaring a Jihad against anyone who was critical of Culpepper this season, take a real hard look at exactly what people were critical of.

I was hopeful that Culpepper would snap out of his funk...now we'll never know if he would have. I can now only hope that Johnson can light a spark in the Offense that Culpepper was unable to. It's either that, or start scouting College players for the upcomming draft.

First of all, have all the opinions you want, I can have mine as well, if you find it necessary to make a post regarding me I actually find it quite flattering, people eater!

I am not stating my opinion, what I am saying is to all of those that were calling for C-pep's head 2 weeks ago, I find it quite interesting that some of them are now saying " we're done without Pep". Or that people are cheering his injury on.

That my friend to me is upsetting if it comes across as overly opinionated so be it, that is not my intention. I just feel like some fans would rather b!tch and complain about everything and everyone, me I want to support the team as much as I can. I am also in the same boat as most fans, I am frustrated, disappointed, and quite honestly getting tired of reading about how fans hate players on their favorite team!

Does that clear it up, I am just stating my feelings and venting as a lot of others on this site do regularly, just missing the W's and the chance to be in close games.

Sorry if my opinions have gotten the best of me, I am just like the rest of us, trying to stay positive.

Also PPE if you want go back and look at some of the posts of these guys that I am blasting, everthing they say is negative.

    Cheers!!

    Canada,

You're just going to have to accept some people don't know shit. Some people will only be happy if they can have something to complain about 24/7 if the sky isn't falling they are sad.

You had people claiming he was a HOF qb then two weeks later stabbing him in the back, now you have people who said he blows goats anyways crying that without him we are lost.

    You can't please everyone.
