Saddly most of them are not, nor will they ever be Vikings fans.

They are crotchsniffers who will leave as soon as AD is no longer with the team.

I still welcome them with open arms hoping that they will grow to love the team and not just a player or two.

Some of the crotch sniffers will morph into fans of the Vikings.
We have a bunch of '98ers on the site that decided they are in for the long haul.

Becoming a fan has to start somewhere, if Adrian starts a new crop, sure some will wilt and fade away, but others will be hooked and blossom into true fanatics of the purple and gold.

Players like AP,Moss,Tarkenton,Carter etc will all bring in new fans. That is essential for any team who is trying to grow it's fan base and it also generates the revenue needed to improve the team and the franchise as a whole. The key to retaining the fans is to give them a consistent,quality team that wins championships so that the fans start to buy into the team itself and not the individual player. If the team fails to capitalize on the player and and build the team/organization around them it is not usually the fault of the fans.
