    I am worried!

I am worried about all the injuries we have had and the nagging ones that are keeping players off the field.

    Madieu Williams
    -
    neck injury
    -
supposed to be 6 weeks but who knows
    -
we were counting on him to be an improvement at safety over last year and to give us better pass coverage
    -
when will he see the field?
will he be able to have a good season if he does make it back after missing so much of camp and the start of the regular season?

    Bernard Berrian
    -
We gave him huge money to be that deep threat our offense needs and then he has turf toe!
He had problems last year with this
    -
Is this something that will drag on all season?

Brian Robinson was supposed to be our number 3 DE
    -
how long before we see him on the field?
    -
it was supposed to be a 10 days to 2 weeks after the surgery
    -
we are going on 3 weeks and he still hasn't played.
    Is this something that lingers?
We are already thin at DE.

    Antoine Winfield
    -
he was pretty banged up last year
    -
he missed the Steelers game -
    is he breaking down?
Will he keep having these little nagging injuries?

    Tarvaris Jackson
    -
is the knee going to be OK?
he said he still having problems with it when he cuts
    -
Is he going to be ready week 1?
is he going to be 100% this year?

The Viking's keep the fans guessing to much when it comes to the health of the players.
I want the playoffs this year!
I want to see the guys we gave huge money earn it and win us games.

We already lost a key linebacker & special teamer and a key backup DE for the year and these nagging injuries are killing me.

Every team is dealing with these right now. I have a feeling if it were a regular season game some of our guys would have played.

We haven't suffered any devastating injuries (such as Osi or Merriman).

I wouldn't consider Farwell a key player to our success, like someone like Osi or Merriman.
I assume by key injuries, he means like AD, or Allen.

Also going on what Happy Camper said, I bet most of those players who are banged up would be playing if this were a real game.
I bet TJ would have played last game, probably same with Berrian.
Really, the only one (aside from Mitchell and Farwell) who might not have played was Robison, as I'm unsure of the status of his recovery.

    Re: I am worried!

Farwell is the only significant one as he is the best special teamre in the league and back up to all lb spots. But Erin will fill in just nicely

Farwell is replacable, and we could do just as well without him.
He's an asset for special teams, but there are lots of young guys who would love a chance to show what they can do on special teams, and I also really like what I've seen from Erin so far.

    Farwell?
How can you compare him to those 2 guys?

Farwell is definitely a big loss to us, yet people seem to underplay his importance with the team. Not only has Farwell made huge plays for us on the special teams unit, but has made many big plays as a LB as well.

Just because a player isn't a starter on offense or defense, doesn't mean he doesn't play a key role in our success.

I don't want them just being able to play I want these guys 100%.

That was the point of my thread these nagging injuries that could be a factor all season.

Right now we have a starting QB, WR, Safety, CB, and our best backup DE hurt and the status for all of them is unclear
    -
    would they have started?
    Maybe / maybe not!

And lets not forget our starting left tackle is possibly facing a 2 to 4 game suspension that could leave Hicks as the starter.

    Scary!!!!!!
