Hows this for a brain buster
So I have a thoery...really my wife had this theory and Im taking credit for it.
What if Favre really was working as a Packers double agent this whole time.
His plan was to string the Vikings along cause division in the locker room.
Take away any confidence that Sage or TJack had.
Make them question team loyalty.
Now we have a microscope on Childress and at teh first sign of the starting QB struggling the media is going to bring up Favre again.
Maybe he planned it all along.
Sneaky bastard.

Re: Hows this for a brain buster
Hmmm, very interesting.
My thoughts are that he is just being lazy and does not want to attend training camp.
Just wait, once training camp is over and the season is about to begin he will start talking about wanting to play again.

Mmm
I personally think he just didn't feel he could make it thru TC.. Preseason.. 16 games.. And onto the playoffs..
Had he got his shoulder fixed earlier maybe it wouldnt have been an issue

Re: Hows this for a brain buster
The thought had crossed my mind, but what about last year.
He wanted to to be traded to minnesota.
I find it extremly, extremely unlikely that they got the jets involved in their ploy, where they'd have favre say "I wanna play for the Vikings" then be traded to the jets, released taht offseason, the gets to taunt the Vikings.
I think he really did want to play, He's just smartened up and realized now is his time to stop.

Also, if he really was trying to damage the Vikings I think he would have signed the contract taken the 10 million and faked an injury or something so he didn't have to play...or play very limited early in the year and than find an excuse out of here.

Either that or he was waiting to see if his arm felt good enough after surgery.

This team is very good and should get off to a good start. That will help whoever the QB is, gain confidence and experience.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
