Howry
Can someone please explain to me Howry's appeal? Tice calls him the top return specialist, but watching him return punts and kicks has always been as appealing to me as watching paint dry; he doesn't evade many tackles and he doesn't have great speed. Then, to boot, at the end of Friday's game Howry drops the gimme catch, while Hoag makes the incredible one to basically win the game ... yet the coach still goes with Howry? Can someone make me feel better about this guy being on the roster as opposed to Hoag or Chris Jones?

Re: Howry
Yeah, I really don't know what his appeal is other than he keeps Burleson out of the line of fire as our punt returner.

Re: Howry
Tice is an idiot man.. He doesn't give Mewelde a shot.. And just cuts Hoag.. As if Howry did anything better then Hoag? Nah, Hoag made catch after catch and came up with big plays.. While Howry was dropping passes.. Hoag even looked like Chris Walsh on special teams

Re: Howry
What did Campbell do to earn a spot at least Howry was out there and I don't care if he is fast or funny or whatever reason you think he should be there he is a 5th WR and did nothing to deserve or earn a roster spot over the dozens of guys cut so he could remain.

Re: Howry
Campbell is not my favorite guy in the world, but hes proven to have big play potential with the ability to finish... even though he has the maturity of our former resident moss, but i'm glad he made the cut... to the original point though, howry has nothing going for him EXCEPT he doesn't often fumble the punt... other than the ability to catch it, he does nothing... HOAG should've been given his spot HANDS DOWN!

Re: Howry
i think the reasin howry is still here is because he never drops a punt and we need that reliability, and he is always good for at least 4 yeards maybe unless he is not fair catching 89% of the time

Nice first post adamkirsh. You'd better 'belly up to the bar' in the free beer forum so we can greet you properly. I feel the same way about 'Mr. Fair Catch' - Keenan Howry. Remember his end-around run wasn't too impressive either..., he showed no burst of speed, or elusiveness, whatsoever, and got pounded out of bounds. Can someone please explain to me Howry's appeal?
