Nice first post adamkirsh. You'd better 'belly up to the bar' in the free beer forum so we can greet you properly. I feel the same way about 'Mr. Fair Catch' - Keenan Howry. Remember his end-around run wasn't too impressive either..., he showed no burst of speed, or elusiveness, whatsoever, and got pounded out of bounds.
Can someone please explain to me Howry's appeal? Tice calls him the top return specialist, but watching him return punts and kicks has always been as appealing to me as watching paint dry; he doesn't evade many tackles and he doesn't have great speed. Then, to boot, at the end of Friday's game Howry drops the gimme catch, while Hoag makes the incredible one to basically win the game ... yet the coach still goes with Howry? Can someone make me feel better about this guy being on the roster as opposed to Hoag or Chris Jones?
