Re: This is how we stack up against the STEELERS
If we stop the run which I think we will, pittsburgh won't be able to do jack smack.
If big ben starts airing it out in the dome, don't be suprised if you see another 5 interception game from us.

Re: This is how we stack up against the STEELERS
I see your point... unfortunately it's not that simple. You see, that's exactly what Pittsburgh wants you to do when they blitz, they want teams to throw underneath. They do that because it forces a team to move the ball very methodically down they field, which is very, very difficult. If the blitz doesn't get there then we're in trouble, see our second game against Cincinnati.
So, if the Vikings can pick up the blitz Brad will be able to stretch the field and keep the D honest, but if they can't and he's forced to get rid of it quickly everytime then that plays right into the hands of the Steelers. If he doesn't have enough time to stretch the field then the D will clamp down on them and you can forget about running the ball, and once a team has clamped down that's when somebody steps in front of the timing pass and picks it off.

Don't count on it buddy. His career high is 3 in a game he threw 42 times.
Don't expect him to be over 25 passes. He might throw one pick, but 5 is nothing more than wishful thinking.

no, you see steelers fan, ur corners arent talented or fast enought to be one on one with any of our receivers, especially koren robinson. Youll blitz us, and we will kill you with 3 step slants, screens and dump offs to wiggins. There are ways of beating a blitzing team and our scheme can stop ur defense.

The past few years that has been a big weak spot.

Re: This is how we stack up against the STEELERS
You make Pitt's D seem like its the greatest thing on earth. Last year, ya you had a good defense and I would fear it...This year...well IDK what happened but its not that same. You change what we're talking about when you feel like you cant win...we go from me saying your D-Line players couldnt hold our D-line players jock straps to well OUR OFFENSIVE LINE IS BETTER!

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

A lot of games when Ben was not playing? He's missed 4 games. In two games he was gone Maddox threw for 154 against the Jags and 230 in another against the Ravens. No too bad with the 154 and most any QB in the league would take 230 yards for a game."michaelmazid" wrote:
As its been said many times, looking at full year averages for both teams doesn't show the real picture. From your perspective, it doesn't show how your team has been playing over the last 6 games and from our perspective (on offense), those stats are including a lot of games when Ben was not playing.STEELERS----------------------------VIKINGS
314.3 ypg (20th) --Offense--- 290.0 ypg (25th)
185.6 ypg (24th) --Passing--- 196.0 ypg (21st)
128.7 ypg (9th) ---Rushing--- 94.0 ypg (23rd)
297.3 ypg (8th) ---Defense--- 329.2 ypg (26th)
Man they suck on offense. They aint scoring more than 10 on the Vikes.
Stats are like a bikini...what they show is nice but its what they don't show that really counts
Stats don't really matter? In the Vikings offense in last 6 games that's all that Steelers fan threw at us and all you other Steelers fan praised him. Make your mind up my flip flopping... wait you're not my friend.
Edit: As a matter of fact, I just checked that Vikings offense in the last 6 games thread and it turned out to be YOU that posted all those stats on our offense and defense. LOL! Make up your mind kid.The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Re: This is how we stack up against the STEELERS
we play great defense and special teams and our offense comes through in the clutch. there are several teams that use that key to win championships. buccaneers and ravens both did it.
