Problems, losses mount after 4-2 start

After forcing 10 turnovers (three fumbles, seven interceptions) in the first six games, the Vikings have only five takeaways (two fumbles, three interceptions) in the past four.

They also have only seven sacks during their four-game losing streak compared with 15 in the first six games, although their opponents' quick-passing strategy has played a part in that.



That's a big one right there. It reminds me of the year we started 6-0 and had all of those INTs in the first 6 games. Then all of a sudden the well went dry and we missed the playoffs. 7 sacks in 4 games is also just plain awful. I don't understand how we can have Pat, K-Will and Kenechi and only get 7 sacks in 4 games! That screams either scheme or underproduction to me.

I remember reading in the article posted the other day, about Udeze's lack of sacks, and he says they're facing a ton of max-protection blocking schemes on passing downs, teams really caught on to how we were applying pressure and now know how to stop it, we just need to adjust now and it should be back to the early season.


I think we'll put Leinart on his back 5-6 times tomorrow.
