    Amazing its always there fault.

T-Jack only threw for 140 yards.
We aren't in the playoffs yet.
2 games does not make us champions.

Last time I checked we were still 5-6.

A long way to go before we crown anybody.

Let me tell you a little something about football.
There is a whole world of difference between run and pass blocking.
Some teams are good at one and not the other and some teams are good or bad at both.
You cannot draw any conclusions between the 2.

    I just did.
    ;D

I will just say this if the Vikes lose next week, will we still be headed towards the SB?

Will T-Jack still be our man when he goes down again in the 2nd qtr with a strained pinky finger?

Tebow broke his hand and still played the rest of the game.
    Now thats tough!

Remember when McNabb broke his ankle and still played the rest of the game?

What does that have to do with the Super Bowl.

there is a huge difference between run and pass blocking.
run blocking needs you to be strong, and have that killer instinct that makes you want to maul someone, which is why McKinney, Hutch and Birk are such good run blockers.
Pass blocking requires good quickness and speed.
you'll notice McKinney gets blown up often by faster ends because he lacks the quickness and speed to get out of his stance and get in front of an end.

I completely 100% disagree with you. This game gave me some confidence that TJack is improving. Chili taught McNabb.. And he is crafting TJack now..

He has pocket presence.. Did you watch the video in the first post?!?!

1st play- Stepped up, saw a defender, and ran to his right.

2nd play- no pocket to step into (thanks to collapsed center) ran for big gain

3rd play- Stepped into pocket and didn't have room to get a pass off

4th play- No where to step up into

5th play Stepped up and got sacked for stepping up into it!

6th play- Stepped up in the pocket, and had a huge gain gain, biggest of the game!

7th play- tried to step up, and had to make some vick magic..

i think he knows how to step into the pocket, but he sees holes and runs for the open field. he's got pocket presence. completing a large percentage of his passes, actually to WR's this game, and not throwing INT's. Only giving up a few sacks for minimal losses too.

Just a thought.. Does a developed TJack have the arm of CPep and the legs of a quasi-Vick scrambler? Let's face it.. those last two plays on the video were pretty sauve: taking on the defender in the middle of the field, then swooping out of the sack and faking out the secondary for the first down on the last play?

this game got me back to the Tjack fandome.. which isnt to say that i dont think he doesnt need development.. because he does.. but that is chili's "specialty"
i m better than you, so just give up...

Hilarious you bring up Jackson's injuries. Then put McNabb as the standard to which Jackson should live up to considering McNabb hasn't played a full season since when?

Here is what I saw from Ultra's video

Play 1: Good pocket, Tarvaris steps up, has the option to throw the ball to the slot receiver but takes a step back and runs.
    The result, sack from behind.

Play 2: Makes a good play by rolling out with intense inside pressure

Play 3: Has ok blocking, takes off right away early because he is watching the pass rush rather than looking down field.

Play 4: 3 step drop, his early read are jammed at the line and get no seperation, no chance to make a play

Play 5: similar to the last play, short drop and nothing was open quickly.

Play 6: drops back, not a lot of time, but looks to run first again, nice gain

Play 7: Had time to deliver the ball to the receiver in the short middle area, but again is tentative with his reads.

The biggest issue I see is that he had difficulty making his way through his reads (which most young QBs do), however, he has happy feet in the pocket, and sees the rush more than he sees the receivers.
Maybe once stuff slows down for him and receivers get open faster he'll get better.

i can see where you are coming from, but for the most part, dont his happy feet gain positive yards?

i think that right now his happy feet are a great substitute for him forcing a throw or throwing the ball away.

but good point at the end. let's hope it does slow down for him
i m better than you, so just give up...

I am still level headed Ultra.
    Don't worry I didn't lose my marbles.

I just get tired of when we win, we are going to the SB.
Next week if we lose everybody wants to get a new QB and fire a coach.

Its a long season, everybody should just pick a side and stay there.
Lets not all waffle on one ok performance.
