How good are Chad Greenway and Tavaris Jackson

Chad Greenway

Strengths: Has good size, an outstanding athlete with suberb speed and burst...Does and excellent job in coverage...Sure tackler, good blitzer and pass rusher...Pursues well and is solid in the open field, has good range and makes plays sideline to sideline...Very productive, good intangibles and a gard worker.

Weaknesses: Will get too aggressive and become undisciplined...Not the strongest guy for the job, has problems getting around blockers, and did not perform his best in 2005.

Tavaris Jackson

Strengths:Has a strong arm, is a great athlete...Mobile and can beat nearly anyone with his legs, throws well on the run(very similar to D. McNabb)...Has decent size with a solid frame, is very strong, and was extremely productive at the Division 2 Level.

Weaknesses: Did not get to play against a lot of top competition, struggles with hard thrown accuracy...Is not quite as tall as most QB's, very raw talent that just hasn't been coached and will take a while for him to reach his full potential

Kind of hard to judge that when I haven't seen either one play a single down in my life.

But IMO Greenway will start before T-Jack

Agreed...WLB is Greenway's position to lose.

What about Cedric Griffin? Anyone think he can make an immediate impact in the defensive backfield or special teams this season?

He probably will only be used as a nickelback unless there is a injury. I think he could be a useful player on special teams.

Really haven't heard much about Griffin this offseason. Most of the talk has been about Greenway and T Jackson.

If T-Jack is starting this year, then I think we are in serious trouble. And if Greenway isn't starting by the end of the year (barring injury) then I think we are in serious trouble.

the only way Tarvaris Jackson will play is if our first 2 QBs go down!!! Chad Greenway will start, just because we are sooo bad at the LB spot!!!

This is kind of a meaningless poll if you ask me.

I voted Chad G., and I can now see everyone else has as well. This is simple, he will be on the field first, and have a chance to make an impact.

easily greenway, the transition to the pros will be much more easy for someone that played at his lvl compared to t-jacks, plus from LB & QB..

not much comparison
