how dumb is "the sporting news"?

Today I looked read what the sporting news said about the vikes for their 2006 nfl preview and it said we'll be third in the nfc north with a 6-10 record behind the pack who is supposed to have a 7-9 record. I believe we will at least get a 9-7 record or 10-6 but 6-10 c'mon!! They also said that our running game isn't going to be strong, that we had a "soft" o-line. How can they even say that when we got Birk, Hicks Hutch, McKinnie and Goldberg. They didn't even mention big Tony Richardson. They also said that the passing game and our defense is gonna suck. I'm so pissed oh they also said that chilldress loves passing game even though he already announced that he wants a power running game.

My friend will never let me forget that there was some guy from the Sporting News last year who picked the bear to go 2-14 so that shows you how much they know!

There's a reason these guys are sport "journalists" (and I use that term lightly)...it's because they're too dumb to get real jobs!! They have the easiest job in the universe and they're too lazy and/or dumb to even do their homework. They simply look at last year's stats and predict future success based on recent performance. If you want a real clue as to how sports teams will perform, go look at the odds boards in Vegas; those guys are SMART and good at not losing money.

I think that to say our O-line is going to be soft this year is absolutley rediculous. How could anybody make that as a prediction. These morons don't know squat.
