How Could it Go So Wrong So Fast?

I know the pre-season doesnt really matter much, but almost every drive the starting O was in..we rolled down the field. Our D didnt look awsome..but it wasn't as bad as it is now. Daunte was playing great football the whole pre-season and up to the point he threw that first INT on the first drive of the year against the Bucs..after that it all went downhill..we can't buy a touchdown..we get down in games so quickly that we're forced to abandon the run and have Daunte throw 45 times..thats not gonna win games...now 1 out of every 5 times Pep drops back to pass it is a sack or an interception..WHAT!?! Thats crazy. I have no idea whats going on with this team, but I hope it gets fixed.. and soon.

My own take on it is they simply bought into the hype, they all thought they were better then they actually are. That lost us some ugly games.

Last year we had another second half collapse, losing 3-4 games in a row. Now we have started poorly and.... believe it or not are going to start playing better. The defense is starting to play better and the O line is starting to Gel. Nate is coming back to give Daunte a "Go To" guy, Mewelde is playing hard, and if Pepp can step it up we will finish strong and.. Win our Division.
It's all still available .. Do the Vikes want it? I believe they do...

I agree, hopefully instead of a second half collapse they have a second half surge right into the playoffs!!

This is definitely a strong possibility. I think they all were expecting to be unstoppable and are panicking now that they are being stopped.

All but one of our loses have been away games. We arent that good of away team. The bears have beaten us the past few years when the bears play at home. We got spanked by two good teams away. We should of beat the bucs and we should have beat the bears. I think this week we have a chance to send a message to the league.

I would definately agree with that. Panic mode.

It sounds like they are working to fix the problems though and if they can get their heads on straight I think we could start winning some games and even get that confidence back in time for when it counts.

Only this time the confidence will be earned and not just hot air.
