Hopes are higher than expectations with Vikings

No matter how excited I get for the start of the NFL season, I always have to remember to temper my expectations for the Vikings....

This is the time of year for optimism for any NFL fan.
    Reality will set in soon.

I like how the author ignores that the Vikings are one of the winningest franchises in the NFL.
Sure, they have never won the big one, but if you're going to talk about the team from a historical perspective at least include more than a decade.

    Hail blind faith.

By the way, what kind of word is 'winningest'?

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I don't know who the writer is but if he doesn't get his facts straight he won't be writing for long.
We did not start the season 5-2, we started 4-2, then lost 4 straight, nor did we finish 1-8 down the stretch.
We finished 2-6 down the stretch.
I guess this is the NFL, which means not for long for this writer if he keeps pulling crap out of his jiggly butt.

I got my purple shades on, and believe we are going to be a exciting football team this year. Nobody in the media expects much out of us, and we are going to catch some teams off guard.

Tarvaras, just has to use the running game and make
his 25-30 pass attempts a game count.
If he stays within the offense, we have the talent to win with.

In summary, a fucked up word.
One of many in that category that I will grace you with on pp.o.

Maybe Jackson can be one of those rare first-year quarterbacks who ignites his team. A Vince Young. A Ben Roethlisberger. A Carson Palmer.
Correct me if I am wrong but didn't big Ben win his ring behind a good defense, a solid running game which made it possible for him to only have to throw the ball like 15 times (average) a game?
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

So, you are on record saying the Vikings will win the Super Bowl this year?
