Vikings coach Brad Childress, worn down by the four-person media horde gathered at Winter Park, acknowledged today what has been clear for several days:

*QB Tarvaris Jackson is listed as questionable on the injury report, but QB Kelly Holcomb will make his second consecutive start Sunday against Green Bay. ”[Holcomb] has been taking most of he reps and Tarvaris is questionable,” Childress said. “You can draw your own logical conclusions from that.”

*RB Chester Taylor (strained oblique) will return to the field after missing two games. “He’ll start the game,” Childress said, “and Adrian [Peterson] will be in after him.”

*WR Troy Williamson (hamstring) might not start, depending on the Vikings opening personnel package, but he will return after missing one game. “That’s what I’m anticipating,” Childress said.

I just hope the line shows up to protect him.

At this point it is our best option. I hope he gets the lead out of his ass and moves around a little more this week or he will be the next one on the injured list.

No real shock to me, I said earlier in the week that KH would start.......

Dissipating whatever suspense remained, the Vikings acknowledged Friday that a strained groin will force quarterback Tarvaris Jackson to miss a second consecutive game.

Kelly Holcomb will start Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, but the Vikings hope Jackson will be ready to return for their Oct. 14 game at Chicago.
