id take campell over hoag.
campell is made plays in real games. remember that catch he had against dallas last year? where he had to completely stretch out? amazing play.
He's made plays in real games because he has gotten a shot.. Hoag hasn't.. Also Campbell is speedy so he can just run past corners sometime.. All around I would say Hoag is a better WR

Re: Hoag Should Have Made The Team
I loved Hoag it sucks he didn't make the team, I thought he did everything right to make the team. Perhaps it was a cap decision. I mean the Vikings got some guaranteed money into Howry and Cambell.

Re: Hoag Should Have Made The Team
I think Hoag shoulda made the team, but i also think keeping campbell was a smart thing to do. We should have cut howry, he's slow and he looks weak to me. Cambell is a good KR i remember he had one for a td last year but got called back on penalties. So i think he should be our KR instead of Howry.

Re: Hoag Should Have Made The Team
man i really liked hoag. i was shocked to read about his release. but i guess that just means we have too much talent like tice says and with this much talent and depth u have to let some good players go. now i know this sucks but i wouldnt have it any other way if you know what i mean.

Re: Hoag Should Have Made The Team
Of course I'm gonna root for every member of the Vikings organization once we start playing the real games next weekend, but I must admit, I have a real hard time rooting for Campbell ever since his drug and gun charges. His big mouth has always been annoying but the crap he pulled during the offseason really takes the cake.

Re: Hoag Should Have Made The Team
I'm disappointed in Hoag's release. I thought he earned a spot on the roster. He's probably as fast as Kelly Campbell (he was a former track star), but with better hands. I viewed him as a fast Chris Walsh. He would have been better at returns than 'Mr. Fair Catch' - Keenan Howry.

Re: Hoag Should Have Made The Team
What's the point of Preseason if a guy plays his butt off and impresses people and STILL gets cut?? :???:
It goes to show that teams just put people out there just to "get through" the Preseason - the coaches already know who they want to play for them.
