    Historical Glimmer of Hope

The 1976 Steelers started the season 1-5. They were down but not out! Over the next 9 games they went 9-0! Their Defense only gave up 28 points in all 9 wins; including 5 shutouts! They made it to the AFC Championship and did lose to Oakland.

What I am trying to say here is, 0-2 is not as bad as it looks up to this point. We are not out of anything yet.

I realize that the Steelers had arguably the best Defense ever, but they were 1-5!

    There is still hope!

Here's a little fun fact for ya I heard last night on the NFL Network:

14% of ALL teams since 1995 who started the season 0-2, actually made the playoffs.

Told ya it would be fun .... :fart:

Let's pray and hope for a turn around. They will have to play a million times better than they have. Everyone was saying Daunte is not used to non Randy coverages, but last year he played like 4 games without Randy. It will have to start Sunday, 0-3 is a huge hole.

    Another great sig by PPE!

If the Vikngs lose to the Saints at home it is definitely time to hit the panic button. Brooks is about as inconsistent as QBs come. The thunder dome will rock this weekend and the Vikes will be back on track. Haslett is the only coach in the NFL that is potentially dumber than Tice...should be a good battle of wits.

    More historical fun:

The 2000-2001 Baltimore Ravens go 5 games without scoring a touchdown. Result: they win the Super Bowl that season.

More historical "fun" from a pesimistic view. 86% of all teams 0-2 since 1995 haven't made the playoffs.

Sorry, I'm just pissed off, depressed, and.....lonely :crybaby:

    Come gather 'round people
    Wherever you roam
    And admit that the waters
    Around you have grown
    And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
    If your time to you
    Is worth savin'
    Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come writers and critics
    Who prophesize with your pen
    And keep your eyes wide
    The chance won't come again
    And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
    And there's no tellin' who
    That it's namin'.
    For the loser now
    Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come senators, congressmen
    Please heed the call
    Don't stand in the doorway
    Don't block up the hall
    For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled,
    The battle outside ragin'
    Will soon shake your windows
    And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come mothers and fathers
    Throughout the land
    And don't criticize
    What you can't understand
    Your sons and your daughters
    Are beyond your command
    Your old road is
    Rapidly aging
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

    The line it is drawn
    The curse it is cast
    The slow one now
    Will later be fast
    As the present now
    Will later be past
    The order is
    Rapidly fadin'.
    And the first one now
    Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

I don't like statistics, sorry. Because statistics and stats and years past= nada! Every game is just one game
