Most noticable is the entire lack of player celebrations.....that is until the Matt Blair interception to seal the game. (and just wait until you hear the music CBS plays when they go to comercials.)

Thanks for that. I laughed when they called Yary for holding on the 10 : Shock- I think it looks like a black armband. I have no idea why. It was interesting to hear the announcers too, I think it was Don Criqui and Sonny Jergenson.

It looks like a black band. Did someone die that year? The best part is Matt Blairs celebration at the end. It looks like he is having a seizure.

What a great team! Tarkenton, Foreman, Sammy White, Ahmad Rashad, Ron Yary, Rickey Young, Matt Blair, and more.

Maybe Childress should run some old game clips from the 70s to fire up the Vikes. That was pretty much the West Coast Offense, so it might even provide a demonstration.

I was in attendance at that game.
It was the first time we were old enough to go without our parents.
Which means I finally got my drivers license.
Blair threw the ball into the stands on his way off the field.
It was great.
The week after the game we ran into Matt Blair at Burnsville Center.
He was picking up film.
He stopped and talked to us when we recogonized him.
We talked to him briefly and wished him good luck at Detroit the next week.
Unfortunately, we got crushed at Detroit the following week.

We were 16 and sitting in the center field bleacher.
Not great seats, but a great time.
I can not recall how much snowfall we received the night before but it was a significant amount.
That along with the Cleveland game were the best two games I have ever been to.
