    Just for Marrdro;

    Childress, on Ryan Cook's performance filling in for starting right tackle Artis Hicks: "You know what, he did OK. He did OK. He's only a week removed from playing in there, and I think he did just fine. Like I said, I saw a different approach in his demeanor toward practice last week. That was good to see, and it was good to see him get it on the field."

    Childress added he is not going to open up the starting job for competition. It appears Cook will be back on the bench as soon as Hicks is healthy enough to play, perhaps as soon as this week. Hicks has an injured right elbow.

    Do you really believe that Hicks is so good he qualifies as a solid backup for both G & T positions? C'mon Marr, we all know where Hicks sits on your spreadsheet.

    "Build through the draft" you say, which is great if we draft some OL.

    How many linemen did we draft in 2006, 2007 & 2008 & where are they now?
    Do I have a warm spot for Cook?

    Probably to a certain degree but for no other reason than that it gives me enjoyment to stick up for thier play when they (Shanc/Griff etc) are singled out by yutz fans for poor play even when they don't play poorly, ala Vinny this weekend when he wasn't even on the field.

    Seems I was right about Shanc, Griff is coming around and Cook will eventually make me look like a genious.

    ;D

    And I never said "build through the draft", I only say that this staff says they are gonna build through the draft.
    I for one don't like to see rookies on the field at all unless they are forced into it by a injury to a Vet and his immediate veteran backup.

    It's genius, genius. And don't try to say it was intentional. I won't buy it.
    Another PPO spell checker.
    Man I love you guys.... ;D

    We need to keep Cook in there at RT.

    We are 6-5 with him in there , so ergo he gives us the best chance of winning.

    **sarcasm off**
    LMAO! +1

    If they neglect to draft a RT next time, I have to question their sanity.
