Childress said the decision to bench Cook came dow to production. Cook has struggled with penalties and simply has not been effective. Childress said the team needs “a higher level there.”

Asked if he was suprised, Cook said, “not really.”

“My performance in the last two games wasn’t very good per se so I kind of saw it,” he said.

Hicks said he feels more comfortable on the left side, but he isn’t worried about the move to the right side.

“That’s not to say that I don’t feel comfortable on the right,” he said. “Naturally I feel a little bit better on the left. So, I don’t think it will be much of a problem at all. I’ve played the right before. The plays, it’s just a matter of flipping them in your head and just going with it.”

Asked how much he’s played at right tackle, Hicks said: “I played right tackle a couple snaps. I think like two or three snaps in a real game situation but I’m looking forward to it. It’s not that big of a deal to me.”

I think it's a good thing.
The funny thing about the article was when Cook was asked if he was surprised.

I would have asked him, Only the last two games?
I would say the last two years.

about fucking time, now maybe we don't have to constantly leave a TE on the Right side of the line!

About the only good thing I've seen from him this year was the block in the GB game to spring AD. Too many false starts and lack of production.

I haven't forgotten but I also remember how well he did replacing McKinnie this year.
He did a nice job so that is where my optimism comes from.

and that was at the guard position, artis hicks has superior footwork compared to Ryan cook
