Hicks Fits In

An example of a team acquiring a player that fits well into the philosophy is the Vikings and their decision to sign running back/return specialist Maurice Hicks. He is not only a fleet-footed, physical running back, but he is also willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win.

Re: Hicks Fits In
I like the way our front office makes people feel welcome, and Maurice Hicks will fill the shoes MeMo left behind nicely. He is versatile and willing to do the dirty work, and that my friends is what a "Football" player should be. I look for him to be a special team monster and a punt returner that has great feet and can make the first guy miss.

Re: Hicks Fits In
Thanks for the read my friend.
Up until now I wasn't really sold on this cat as I kindof liked Memo and hated to see him go.
Maybe I need to revisit my opinion a bit on Hicks.
I still say that if Memo could pass block he would still be here.I’ve seen a bright-eyed guy, and I don’t see a lot of errors in terms of protection or carrying the football.â€Â
Right or wrong, he got that lable put on him by Tice and it just never left.
Hmmmmm a couple of interesting stats there I wasn't aware of.Hicks, who has spent time in Chicago and most recently San Francisco, is known for his return abilities and has the number one and number two kickoff return yardage totals in 49ers history. He is also tied for second in the NFL over the past two seasons with 120 kickoff returns and third in the league with 2,930 yards.
Nice guy that fits the scheme, will do anything that is asked of him (versatility again) and wants to be a Viking.
My kindof guy. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

So, you're willing to change your opinion of a perennial loser on the field based on an article and, at the same time, willing to stab Birk in the back when he doesn't attend an OTA?Thanks for the read my friend.

Hmmmm, I think you need to revisit the way you revisit opinions.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

Nope, as always I went to a stat page to do some digging in an effort to see what the local sports hack was saying.
