Personally I don't mind when an interesting thread expands into additional threads. What gets me is when an individual poster feels responsible to start new threads on a regular basis. If I have more that one thread that I've started in the Author Column, I've started too many (unless it's in one of the less used forums).

I agree with this SKOL but weby can shut that down and even ban the poster if need be after warning that poster.

Well, if people would be more responsible and respectful of the forum, we wouldn't have to worry about any of this, right? You know who you are.

On a side note, I didn't find any more than 3 of the 16 new Randy topics to have any worthwhile angle, most were repeats of the same damned thing.

Do we really want to ban folks for not following etiquette? Maybe so.

It is not only etiquette, respect, and responsibility but also laziness.

The Posters that find the need to start a new thread don't take the time to fully read the posts in the previous threads. It doesn't take much to find atleast one post that you can quote and branch off on your own ideas.

READ THE WHOLE THREAD

Also look for past topics on other pages in that forum.

I personally think we need another thread about not starting duplicate threads.

I need at least 4-5 good do not post duplicate thread, threads in order for it to sink in. :P
