Jackyl, it is a great song I can't even put in order a top ten list of his work with that song in it. He has so many and they all sneak up on you. I chose the handle to be different. Not many pick that up that it is prince related.

you my friend are in the 99th percentile.

Did you have to take the Iowa Basics test out there on the west coast or was that just a midwest thing?

Those Iowans are crazy I tell you, who thought up that test anyway. Atleast we got out of the normal routine for a couple of days.

    Hey snowinapril, where in TX?

I did go to UH, but it was for law school. My undergrad school was Louisiana-Lafayette. I don't really follow college football, because my schools' teams suck and there is no light at the end of their respective tunnels (because the biggest schools control all of the money). No parity, unlike the NFL. There, at least, every team has a chance to pull themselves up to respectability (witness: the Bengals). I did get to see a UH game in one of the luxury boxes back when they played in the Astrodome. I know that Reliant is 1000 times better and hope to be there soon. I was telling friends here in DC that Houston has to have the best group of stadia in the US (Minute Maid Park, 3 years old, retractable roof; Reliant Stadium, 2 years old, retractable roof; and Toyota Center (the basketbal arena?), 1 year old, state of the art and downtown. I hope to go back soon to see them all, almost got to go for work and see a baseball game, but plans changed.

Great pics, snow! Missed the Prince reference, though. One of my co-workers is huge Prince fan, I will see if he gets it.

I have been in them all now. Even though the Toyota event was a concert.

They are truely amazing. Seattle has some nice stadiums but they only have the 2 new ones. 3 new stadiums are nice.

Houston was putting a big push for the Olympics together I think that is why they jazzed up the sporting venues. I think they were passed over though so it was all for not.

Heck they have the Compaq center still and the Astrodome still They can't let go. The compaq is a church imagine that. They fill that suck like three time in one morning crazy!! The last I heard, they were going to implode the Astrodome but then they used it for the Rodeo last year for some concerts.

Yeah not much parity in college. My Wife went to Duke they are only good in Basketball. They broke in some how. The opposite end of that is Notre Dame. ND is only good in FB now. And they are in jeaprody of loosing that. How does that happen? "I would have never thunk it" I hated Duke and I still hate ND even though I like to route for the underdog which ND is slowly becoming. Duke has grown on me quite a bit. It is nice having a consistant winner to route for.

Yes, not much parity in the College level.

Duke is good in basketball, because the basketball programs are easier to build at private schools than the football programs (read: lots of money needed). Unless they have a legacy from the early years with huge amounts of booster support (see: USC, ND, UMiami, etc.).
