I never thought he was on the hot seat. We are in the middle of a playoff chase. However... we are in trouble next season.

Yeah... to be expected. As many have pointed out in other threads, the ownership is a big reason for the short-comings of this team and they continue the tradition as we speak.
Oh well, at least it's not Childress. Anything is better than Childress.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

He has a team that won three or four games last year still in the playoff hunt come December. Most had us pegged as a three win team this year. Why would he get fired?

Both Tice and Childress lost major fan support and that is what got them fired in the end. People are frustrated with Frazier and Ponder but he isn't getting boo'ed when he walks out on the field. And he has bettered his record from last year by more than double so I suspect he will be here at least another year even if we lose the rest of our games this year.
