Re: Here's a complete list of 2006 free agents who do u want!!!

This is my suggestions of the best situation players that we could get at each position...

QB.. pick up chris simms, that is if johnson retires, caus CPep could get injured again.. if Johnson stay, no adjustment needed

RB... get rid of Bennett, dont resign him or Moe.. instead, give a better offer to shaun alexander

    keep K Rob.. duh

new RG and RT... rosenthal <shudders> can be replaced about.. now

and a new kicker.. why not vanderjact? its not illegal for the vikings to have a good kicker

thats my thoughts.. for what it's worth.. even money wasnt an object that matters.. there it is
i m better than you, so just give up...

Re: Here's a complete list of 2006 free agents who do u want!!!

    I would like:

    1)Drew Brees SD

If we get rid of Daunte

    1)Shaun alexander Sea
    2)Jamal Lewis Bal
    4)Edgerrin James Ind

To get a RB - but only one

    2)Reggie Wayne Ind
    16)Koren Robinson Min

Even though we have awesome WR's - and resign Koren

    3)Matt Schobel Cin

    As Backup TE

    1)Steve Hutchinson Sea

    Instead of Adam Goldberg

    1)John Abraham NYJ

    Passrushing! This guy is awesome

    4)Gary Brackett Ind

If we can get him, we should do it..

    1)Julian Peterson SF
    10)Keith Newman Minn

    Peterson and then resign Newman

    1)Adam Archuleta Stl
    2)Chris Hope Pit
    6)Dexter Jackson TB
    9)Keion Carpenter Atl

Make Chavous some kind of Coach and sign one if this..

    1)Adam Vinateri NE
    3)Mike Vanderjaght Ind

    No doubt about it..

Re: Here's a complete list of 2006 free agents who do u want!!!

what we need most is oline and still defensive.

Julian Peterson and/or David Thornton would be a nice add for linebackers

Tom Ashworth would help the oline. but i dont think the pats are going to let him go.

and a 3rd/4th corner would be nice to have. and a better backup safety. our dline is good with everyone healthy.

runningback wise, we need someone with some size if we dont get a guy who can do it himself (lewis, alexander, holmes).
    We're bringing purple back.

i like to get Peter Warrick. maybe if we give him shot, he could be like he was at FSU.

our backup safteys actually could be really good. we all know willie offard is a wonderful back up and we drafted dustin fox with our third round pick, but he was put on the IR in training Camp. he was pretty good at OSU. i think we are pretty good at every position on D, unless we get an allstar LB. we need help at RB and RG RT and LG...

Re: Here's a complete list of 2006 free agents who do u want!!!

Some of you are too much. We can't just go out and sign the top guys on the list of every position. Top priority has to be Koren and then hopefully Brian Williams. Koren should be easy to resign but B Will might have played his way into being too expensive for us to sign. After those two, there are some very desirable running backs that I would love to see sign with the vikes but I don't see it happening.

It will also be very interesting to see what direction we go with Safety this offseason.

Of all the free agents listed above, I'd most like to get Julian Peterson.

Re: Here's a complete list of 2006 free agents who do u want!!!

First off, you rank Lewis ahead of James? You must be joking ... and Ahman "injured and fumbling all the time" Green ahead of DeShaun Foster? Reggie Wayne behind Givens? Anyways ...
This list is a complete joke to even look at ... you have to wait until the signing period starts to really look at free agents. All teams get a shot at their players before everyone else ... and 35%-60% of these players will not even hit the market. I.E. David Carr who is ONLY a free agent if his roster bonus is not picked up ... or Drew Brees who is 90 percent likely to sign with S.D. before anyone else gets a shot at him ... or Shaun Alexander who is also 90 percent likely to sign ... or Wayne who has already said through his agent that they all but have a deal wrapped up ... It is far too premature to look at this ... and if you are going to lets be objective ... it is fairly certain which big names will be available (DE Abraham) and which ones won't ... making a list saying lets get Alexander, Brees and Wayne when none of them will likely be on the market is really kind of silly.

Re: Here's a complete list of 2006 free agents who do u want

    Realstically I want:

    Drew Brees
    Jon Kitna
    Shaun alexander
    Edgerrin James (to backup Alexander)
    Jamal Lewis (to be FB)
    Reggie Wayne
    David Givens
    Jon Runyan
    Torrin Tucker
    Larry Tripplet
    John Abraham
    Robert Mathis
    Julian Peterson
    Warrick Holdman
    Cato June
    Nate Clements
    Charles Woodson
    Roderick Hood

    Coaches:
    Head coach: Weiss
    OC: Carroll
    DC: Dungy
    Ball boy: Billick

My list is about as realistic as some of the guys that people think we can get.

Nice rankings...how can you rank these guys? You do not even know 80% of these guys, I sure as the hell don't.
