Re: Henderson excited to hit someone again

I am definitely looking forward to seeing EJ back out on the field next season. I think with him healthy and a lack of suspensions for the big guys up front we actually have a legitimate shot at having the No. 1 defense in the league next season. I am really looking forward to seeing them play.

I guess its expected but I'm with Oakland and I like what Childress has done since he has taken over. Improvement is all I know, I might expect more but I don't complain with improvement. Frustrating at times, sure... but allowing the building process to take place could lead to good times.

As far as EJ is concerned its awesome to get him back, he's a straight beast in every sense of the word. I watch plenty of football and I don't know anyone who hits harder or plays more tenacious. He's the leader of our defense, the center piece and we still had the #6th Ranked Defense without him. Add in Tyrell Johnson and a healthy Pat Williams and the sky is the limit for us.
    Exactly.
Chilly has improved every year he's been here, we just need the next improvement to be in the playcalling department.
It's been the one thing (outside of the QB position) that has been holding us back.
But with better playcalling will come better QB play and viceversa.
We need to solve these two issues this season or look elsewhere at QB, HC, OC or all three.
You guys hear the yutz caller (actual name was Marty and it wasn't me) yesterday on "Moving the Chains".
He was all pissy about the Chiller holding the team back.

Those guys, in a nut shell, called him a nut. Pretty much laughed at him the rest of the show.

This hate for the Chiller is kindof starting to make me almost ashamed to be a Vikings fan in public.

    As for EJ.
I will be nice to see him back on the field this year.
Sure glad the Chiller moved him back to MLB instead of OLB.

I am happy EJ will be back as well.
He really was having a strong year last year until he got hurt.

    As for Childress.
Most of you know how I feel in that he gets a bad rap for things that aren't always his fault.
    Is he perfect? No.
    But he isn't bad either.
The only issue I have with Childress is the QB position right now.
Hopefully one of the two steps up and changes my outlook.
Other than that the team has improved and I am not talking about records.
The players and their attitudes have changed and it seems most want to be here.
You can't please everyone but it seems as though many of the players enjoy playing for him.

I will admit, Chilly is sort of growing on me.
He's like a mole, i just hope its not cancerous.
He is not flashy and still gets my blood boiling, but if he keeps improving the team I can b*tch too much.
All he needs is two more wins this year to make me happy.
One during the season and one during the post-season.

    That seems fair.
    I can agree with that.

The Vikings linebacker missed all but four games last season because of two dislocated toes, but is healthy and eager to put on the pads again.

If he stays healthy, EJ will be voted to his first pro-bowl. The team leaders are all coming back, and are hungry. I expect big things from our players and Coaches. This year questions will be answered at several key positions, not just coach, and QB. We will all know soon enough who can cut it, and who cannot.
