Yes, swagger is a word, but your usage is wrong...get in the swing of things would be a better turn of phrase to use here (sorry for the grammar lesson, but we all have got to make each other better for when the Packer troll come around during the regular season...this is OUR training camp...work hard guys)!

Burleson can handle the pressure...he will have good numbers...and so will the rest of the WRs. Eventually, he will be the Cris Carter to Williamson's Randy Moss...maybe not quite as good, but plenty good enough to put up enough points (coupled with our improved defense) to win a Super Bowl or two!
Lol. I learn something new everyday!

That was a good analysis about the CC/Moss thing. I really never thought of it that way. I guess when he was the go to guy when Moss was gone he was performing great under pressure. But that was when he knew Moss was coming back. Now he wont be back. Hopefully he will perform the same way/better, which I have confidence that he will.

I also believe we will win Super Bowls with C-pep behind center and our amazing D. That is not being bias either. I have actually heard other teams fans that we have a ral chance.

People, WE ARE THE REAL DEAL!

Re: Heavy expectations for Nate Burleson

I don't see how anyone could not expect nate to step it up a notch. He showed last year, that he can do what it takes. Moss gets hurt and he steps up his game and takes over. He isn't anything like moss in style, so to compare the 2 is crazy. But he can put up #'s close to those of moss, by playing his game. He is unbelievable after the catch and impossible to bring down. He never goes down on the first hit. That is something the great RB's of the NFL always seem to do, like priest holmes does now. They never go down after the first guy hits them and they always gain yards after contact. Nate has that, and only a few WR's in this league possess that.

Nate is one of the hardest working guys on our team and you can never doubt a guy that works as hard as he does.

Will he equal moss' stats? No, but 1200 or so yards and 10-12 Td's is very attainable for nate this year.

With nate at #1 now instead of moss, we may lose some stats, but we also gain a harder worker who absolutely never takes a play off and who only cares about the team and winning.

Yeah, Moss took tons of plays off, and didn't want the best for Minnesota

Anyway, sometime people seem to forget - when Nate is in the open field, he is FAST.

Re: Heavy expectations for Nate Burleson

I have to point out to anyone who forgot that Burleson in his senior year in college was 4 receptions shy of breaking the ncaa record for receptions in a season. He has had a couple of years in the nfl now and is ready for his break out season (barring injury).
The aquisition of taylor is IMO alot bigger of a deal than anybody has really thought or talked about. That kid will be on tip when the ball comes his way. Remember he's had a not so stellar QB throwing to him the past few years. Williamson will have a rookie season with some highlights and some pitfalls but he will learn and be a force alot more quickly than some may think. TE's one of the best tandems in the nfl if I must say so.
Really all I'm trying to say is yes moss commanded double coverage but when you have 4 or 5 top quality players who can get the job done almost at will there will be plenty of viking scoring going on. Plus with moss gone C-pep can more evenly distribute the ball and keep opposing D's at bay cause who's he going to go to next. Many weapons in the vikes offense, just kick back relax and enjoy the ride.
This year the Vikes D is really going to find out if Farve tastes like chicken and to any Charger fans

and I didn't even mention the running game plus if C-pep has to step up and run a little well I feel sorry for anyone who has to try and stop him. GO VIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus I want to say a couple of words about moore that kid is IMO going to be the saving grace of our running game. I hate to say this and I hope I'm wrong but I don't think Bennett is durable enough to last the whole season. In steps moore thats going to run the ball right through opposing D's. And thats all I got to say about that.

Nate has the ability to get even better this year and can become a major player for the Vikes.Having Pepp provide him with his passes can,t be a bad thing.
