    Stupid move.

Well our special teams just took a huge hit.

After the cuts, what does our DB depth chart look like?
    My guess is this.

    Winfield
    Griffin
    Cook
    Allen
    Sherels
    Burton
Burton was cut. Sanford is still on the team.
Source? I know Stephen Burton was cut but haven't seen anything about Brandon.
Thought Brandon was the Burton that was cut?

So we cut Frampton but kept a player that hasn't done anything of note this preseason?

Eric Frampton has NOT been cut in fact they paid him over the veteran minimum amount.

Why special teams ace Eric Frampton isn't going anywhere: Got $1 M signing bonus a few weeks ago.

Brandon Burton, CB, was NOT cut. Stephen Burton the WR was. This is a list of CB's only. I didn't list the safeties.

Don't want to change the topic of this thread, but don't use that argument. When I used it, you called me out saying I never saw all of training camp, closed practices, blah blah blah. Don't flip flop on arguments to fix your position.

    Re: Heath Farwell cut

Can't pay a special teams player what he was getting, something tells this had something to do with him being on the week 1 roster and receiving a guaranteed chunk of his contract, but that's speculation.

As much as we may have liked him, he's a 30 year old special teams player with a big contract(for an ST guy.)

    I wish him the best.

EDIT: Just read the move clears $1.75m in cap room for us.

Cat hasn't been productive on the field for 2 years. Our ST's sucked cause our K'rs were line driving it everywhere.

When the coverages improved was when we got faster (Onatulu/Frampton etc) and started to kick the ball higher.

Will we lose some leadership? Sure. But in the end, production on the field, CAP issues and other leaders ready to step forward made him replaceable.

Like it or not, it happens to every player.

Not flip-flopping my position. Preseason is not limited to preseason games. It's all of preseason.

If you'd like I'll rephrase it to include preseason/offseason.

Farwell hasn't been productive, but Onatolu & Frampton have??

How is that possible when Farwell has had the same number of tackles that Frampton has had & almost 3 times as many as Onatolu has had over the past two years?
