The Vikings could play better, but they cannot get those two losses back. Statistically, the Vikings are pretty much out of the playoffs already. That is barring a superhuman effort that I just do not see coming.
We lost two games with less than 1 min remaining on the clock with AP being average and Ponder being horrible.
If our defense had made 1 stop during this time, we would be 2-1 and we would be excited about the season.
The is a good chance that we can tighten things up.
If we lost to someone other than the Browns in a close one there would be more reason for optimism. AP has been bad, Ponder has been bad, the Oline has been terrible, the defense gave up 31 points to a team that had scored 16 on the SEASON. That said, we almost beat the Bear's at soldier field, but almost doesn't mean much unfortunately. The Vikings aren't as bad as their record indicates (I hope), but anything short of the playoffs is a complete and utter failure, and the chances of making the playoffs at this point are pretty low.
