Yeah or start taking anti-depressants or something.
Not being able to get excited about things you previously did is definatly a sign of depression.
Also being a packer fan is a sign of depression.
    Or cause.

I'm finding it's important to 'stay on an even keel' in my expectations for this team.
Don't expect too much and don't let it get me down when they lose.

If the Red Sox and White Sox can win a World Series, then the Vikings can win a Super Bowl.
That's all I need to remember to stay excited.

Re: Has anyone else hit a wall when it comes to staying hopefull for this season?

I haven't hit a wall, and I am still pumped for the Lions game, but I admit that my unbridled optimism has been checked a little bit.
That is probably a good thing... My expectations for the team are a little closer to reality now.
I still think we will make the playoffs, but I have a hard time betting the house on a NFC North Championship.

If (when) the offense begins to put up a few more points I think my optimism will go back up again.
Plus, we have to remember that the first half of our season is the hardest.
We will have a better stretch the second half, which will get everyone excited again as we roll into the playoffs!

We must win this game! With Seattle & NE up next, this game is huge. I hope the Vikes don't overlook the Lions & not focus on the seachickens. If we win this & one of the next 2, we'll be 4-3 going to SF, GB, Miami, Arizona then back to Chicago. Hopefully when we face the Bears, we'll be 8-3,7-4 at the worst.

    Yes

    :'(

I think that is why we stay so grounded as fans.
Every time something goes right for the team, 3 things go wrong.

I'm still excited! It's only week 5! Keep things in perspective my friend! Some people picked us to be 0-3 after the first two games, instead we were 2-1...now we're 2-2 and still in the thick of things in the NFC. There's still a lot of season left to be played.
