Harvin not practicing; Williams out again

=Z=Vikings rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin was not on the field as the Vikings began practice Thursday. Harvin was not on the injury report Wednesday and it's unclear what is wrong. The first thought is that Harvin is dealing with more migraine issues but hopefully we'll find out more after the Vikings complete practice.
Sitting out for a second consecutive day are left defensive end Ray Edwards (knee) and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kevin Williams (knee). Williams was seen leaving the field after Thursday's walk-through with a sleeve protecting his left knee.
Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

All three of those guys are going to play. But I would definitely feel more comfy if they at least got some limited practice in on Friday.

Exactly. Their arms and legs would need to be falling off, in order for them not to play........We were missing Shockey and had Sharper and Meachum limited in practice. I think our guys and your guys willwind up playing.

Just heard on KFAN, Harvin is dealing with his Migran Headaches, acting up again......That sucks.

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

If so, he just needs to be better by Saturday?

I will say week-long hells like Percy went through the last time do seem to be rare though, so hopefully that was rare for him too (I think he may have said that too).
As for recovery, there seems* to be two kinds of recovery for it. You have the people who get a hungover feeling after the migraine passes and if he's one of those, he'd have to be better...well, however long it takes him to get over a hangover.
The other type leaves you with a giddy, euphoric feeling. If he's one of those, he could wake up as late as Sunday morning good to go.
Poor Percy. What a time to get them! On top of the pain, he's doubtlessly feeling horrible about practice and his teammates.
* I have a lot of experience with migraines and have read as much research as I can get my hands on, but I am not a doctor, nor can I speak for every migraine sufferer. This is just what I've read and seen in the people I know.

Re: Harvin not practicing - Williams/Edwards also
I get cluster migraines - considered the worst form of migraines, as I can get them almost every day for as long as a month with but a few days clear. I understand migraines very well.
With Harvin, he may get migraines for several days at a time. He may be able to control the pain but not the nausea, decreased cognative ability, or vision problems.
Many people do not understand how bad migraines actually get, because there are so many over-the-counter migraine pain relief products that may work on bad headaches but often do not even dent a real migraine.
Often, people get tension and sinus headaches and call them migraines. I get those too, just like most people, and they do not often compare to a full blown migraine in intensity or with associated disability.
I hope Harvin can get clear by Friday. Trying to play football with a migraine, even if tempered by pain medication, is a daunting task.
