Good read. He seems pretty intelligent. And then there is this:
It's going to be a long year Harrison... sorry.Grumpy after a loss? Absolutely. After a loss, I usually don't talk, maybe even more than a day. I try to go 24 hours and move on to the next game. But I'll still be pretty upset until we get the next win.

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

I actually think our defense is going to be a heck of alot better this year, even though I don't think our interior of the DL was fixed right and we are going to stay with the C2 instead of a more traditional T2 or just getting away from both of them for a "Press Zone" kindof look.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

I like Smith because he has talent and is a hard worker.
I don't know if he has ENOUGH talent though. But I do feel like he will give us everything he has and we will get every bit out of whatever talent he has (similar to players like AD and Percy).
I am not sure that Kalil is the same ... he is REALLY good and I feel like he KNOWS it ... which could be tough to get him to be super elite like he can be. I know he has the skills to be dominant, hope he also has the mindset.

Interesting take on Kalil my friend.
There were some who said that we got the second best T in the draft because of his inability to stand up to the bull rush.
To counter that, he has already added weight and started to work on improving his strength leading up to the draft.
The other cat would have come with some technique issues, plus a bunch of off the field issues.
Again, its a interesting point, but I don't think he is going to have a problem when it comes to work ethic. If for no other reason, I think he will work hard to keep the family tradition up to par with what has been established by those in front of him. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Smith sounds like a real good kid. Personally, my pick of this draft (I might even get a jersey) Since, I saw Safety as our biggest weakness, knew Barron was going to be long gone, and had liked everything I read about him as far as work ethic, intelligence, and possessing perhaps not elite physical traits, but plenty to get the job done when backed up by the intangibles.
Whether we had to move up or not, we'll never know for sure...I'm just glad we got him in that hole now!

I like smith but not in love with his skilset. He reminds me of Brian Urlacher coming out of college. Great moving forward but not a great cover guy and a liability if asked to turn an run. He is more athletic than Urlacher and not as big but he is the definition of a Tweener.
