Guilty Before Proven Innocent?
WHy are NFl players treated in the media and public's eyes as guilty before proven innocent.
Many of you are big time Vikings fans but we immediately belived that MAC was guilty.
People immediately believed that Vick was guilty. Before his trial even began, he was targeted by PETA and protested to the point where it was immpossible for him to get a even jury.
I just don't understand why we can blame Mac and believe he is guilty when we haen't even heard his side of the story. And you all call yourselves Viking fans..for shame!!!

Ummm, Vick was guilty, so not a very good comparison.
And yes - in the public eye athletes are often guilty before proven innocent.
It is called public image, and it is one of the things that comes along with the fame and money.
Not saying it is right or wrong, but it is the way it is.
Athletes like Mount McKinnie should be smart enough to know that any negative act can and will be scrutinized by the public.
There are 1600+ other active professional players out there who manage to keep their names out of the headlines, why can people like Pacman, Chris Henry, McKinnie, etc do the same?

And on the same not, Vick was not protested to the point that it was impossible for him to get a jury.
I don't think it even made it to jury selection, and even if it did, the press coverage and protests were no where near the point that it would compromise selection.

Isnt this the way our government is also ran?
Now the law states very clearly your are "suppose" to be innocent until prove guilty" but you and I both know that our society is not set up under those guidelines.
