Kinda frightening to see a player posture like that, though.

One of the more underrated hard hitters out there in the last decade or so, as well.

Awesome, he's the type of player I hope our new guy Johnson turns out to be.
Based on his scouting reports, it seems like they have the same style of play.

Shoulder to shoulder and rocked Emmitt's world.
Griff could hit like a freight train.
Thank you for the memories, and thanks for retiring as a Vike.
TOC IMO
8).
A great example of a man given an opporunity and making the most of it.
Happy retirement, Mr Griffith, sad to see you leave the Vikes, happy you retired as one.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

My thoughts too....thanks for typing a post for meTouch of class IMHO that he not only wanted to do this, but that the Ownership group was willing to do this.
Have I mentioned lately, how much I like this new ownership group?

Former Vikings safety Robert Griffith signed a contract with the team on Wednesday for the purpose of retiring as a member of the franchise.
Griffith got his start with the Vikings in 1994 and played with the team until 2001. He signed as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State but went on to become a Pro Bowl selection after the 1999 season.
Too bad that you ever had to leave!BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

One of my favorite players while he was here. I thought he had retired a couple of years back but am glad he was able to retire as a Viking.

Thanks Josdin
