Re: griffin and smoot both out
This sucks more than just for the next game.
I think we were looking to offload Smoot in the offseason, and this will lower his trade value.Zeus wrote:

Why?That sucks.
Try Troy Williamson at nickle.
So he can take his eye of his man and let them catch the ball?

Re: griffin and smoot both out
this is all i foundSmoot, Griffin headed for IR
Vikings backup cornerback Fred Smoot broke his jaw in five places and needed surgery after he was involved in a single-car accident Friday in Mississippi. He will be placed on injured reserve, as will starting cornerback Cedric Griffin, who has a neck injury.
too bad smoot cant play because his jaw would be wired shut so he would actually shut up and play

Where did you find that <link please>?
Wow.
How could this have happened five days ago and none of us catch wind of it until now?Zeus wrote:

If we were still in the playoff race I bet the news would have broken here on PP.O a while ago. Quite frankly, I don't think too many people care about this upcoming game now that we're out. People are too caught up in their Moss pipe dreams and Tarvaris starting next year orgasms.Where did you find that <link please>?

Re: griffin and smoot both out
I hear you.
I still will be glued to the TV for the Vikes-Rams game.
Doesn't matter if we are out of the playoffs or not.
I still want to see and evaluate TJack at QB.
Plus the game has some serious draft order implications for us.
And... if we lose, so do the Packers (because it would knock them out of the playoffs
)

from KFFL.com
Vikings | Patterson signed to active roster
Wed, 27 Dec 2006 11:05:14 -0800
Kevin Seifert, of the Star Tribune, reports the Minnesota Vikings signed CB Dimitri Patterson to their practice squad.
Nothing about Smoot but I would think this would be in response to it
